@Danny Jarquin If I had to make a guess, it's probably due to the fact that the other 8-bit section (theater) was post-game exclusive, which wouldn't necessarily make sense to have region coins locked behind post-game content.

And as for the Festival, I've no idea; it might be just so you don't have to do the Festival just to get all region coins.

also I originally was confused on what was that yellow ended pipe and the inverted color overworld tiles, those come from new super mario bros 2, the former is of the ! pipe and the latter is of the main part of the warp cannon levels
