I used to hear of these kinds of screens on many Flash games from then. Used to be real annoying when I just wanted to play Gangsta Mario unblocked just to be met with a "play the game on our site lol". |

Just wow! Amazing that these sprites are ripped now. I remember when I was little I wanted these Nitrome sprites on this site and here they are. Kudos to whoever ripped this. |

Huh. Seems someone beat me to it in terms of ripping the majority of the monster sprites for this game. I've actually been sitting on an archive full of ripped sprites for close to 3 years by now, I just never got around to organizing everything. Thankfully, it seems there's still things left to be submitted, namely the Fusions and bosses. |

I think it was just Paper Mario 64 and Sticker Star that omitted the feather, while the MvDK games (though still found in forest/jungle areas), Dream Team, and the costume cameo in Mario Maker also depicted non-tribal-themed Spear Guys. They had feathers in most of their other appearances. |

@DeltaMudkip It's a very old rip to the point where the email most likely wouldn't be valid anymore... Some rippers were protective especially back then. Usually though it was just credit the ripper at most so maybe he thought that someone would steal his rip somehow or used it on the sly without telling him? Also many early rips were more geared towards sprite comics. In all honesty it is a bit silly considering that it was someone at Konami who made the sprite in the first place... |

Transformers the movie wasn't released in Japan until 1989, despite being animated in Japan in 1986 (How does that even work?) They had already broadcast seasons 1 & 2 over there and got season 3 without the movie to explain Convoy/Optimus' disappearance. It was a mystery to them. This game and it's name is literally the result of them not knowing that he was dead. @Yawackhary If this game had come out in the US the title probably would've been The Search For Optimus Prime ala Star Trek III. For children in the west It was no mystery what happened to him, and because of the backlash, they were already in the process of bringing him back. |
