This can be verified by looking up the toy line Series 1 after Vince and Larry were swapped out. (Series 2 was Pro-Tech and Series 3 was Racing, each with different suits) |

For a more technical explanation, Konami were inconsistent. Some sprites are complete poses while many are split into pieces especially regarding Mr Burns. For the Simpsons family, some sprites have some layering going on. Usually Head, Upper Body and Lower Body but can also be Body and Arms too. The enemies are the same, usually one or the other. |

My guess is they only changed the sprite with 3.16.1. When the next full version update/3.17 comes out I'll check it out, assuming it's there I'll grab the red coat version and add it to her sheet! |
