@Ton "These sprites are the ones found in Sonic 3's data." Most of these sprites don't exist in the data for Sonic 3 Alone. The only Knuckles sprites that exist in this version of the game is the ones provided with the cutscene sprites, and some HUD stuff. These sprites are only added with the Sonic & Knuckles add-on, therefore it is identical to what shows up in that game. These are not unused in Sonic 3 Alone because they don't exist in Sonic 3 Alone, and this makes no sense to belong in the "Unused" section. |

Also, JP Sega planned on using "Nack," but since "Nakku" sounds too close to "Nakkurusu" (Knuckles), they changed it to be more different, hence "Fang." As for which is the "real" name, that varies a lot, but Superstars materials treat "Fang" as the real one and "Nack" as one of many aliases (which might include Jet). |

@Mc Ninja: Before Sega of America settled on the name "Nack", he was revealed as "Jet" outside of Japan in an issue of Mean Machine magazine. Although he was simply called "Jet", not "Jet the Jerboa". |

@teh_supar_hackr The game freezes and the screen starts shaking violently. No idea why it happens. EDIT: Turns out by editing a single byte in the game's ROM, this issue is bypassed. It turns out there's actually 28 rounds before looping back to the beginning. Strange how the crash only applies to Round 25, but not 26-28. |
