I think his hands should be open in the death and drowning sprites because they kind of look like victory poses when his hands are closed. Other than that, the sheet looks pretty good!

As our friends over at Super Mario Wiki have noted, Ankoopa is the name that is used within the original game, found via in-game dialog at the Information Booth. This name is probably a better fit than the generic “Turtle” used in the Prima Guide. Especially since this guide in particular had a bad habit of referring to clearly named entities via generic capitalized titles (IE, the “S.S. Chuckola” being named “Pirate Ship”.) Thanks all! :D

As noted by the folks over at Super Mario Wiki, Ankoopa is not actually a fan name, but rather the official title used in-game. This name is probably a better fit than the generic “Turtle” used in the Prima Guide. Especially since this guide in particular had a bad habit of referring to clearly named entities via generic capitalized titles (IE, the “S.S. Chuckola” being named “Pirate Ship”.) Additionally, Ankoopa does actually have a unique name in multiple languages, including Japanese (Nokottasu), which seemingly confirms that they are their own entity, separate from a normal Koopa Troopa.
