So, what I'm thinking of is making a different asset-sharing website focused on animated .pngs, which do not have that issue and can properly display layered transparency. If I do that, I'd love to be an affiliate to VG Resource, like Sprite Database is. |

EPb uses SW's palette but not its recolors, instead opting to use Duke3D's LOOKUP.DAT (since it's essentially just Duke3D total conversion'd into a paintball sim), regardless of the wildly different color placement. |

| Oct 21, 2025 2:19 AM | PGE | Asset: Hidden or Unknown | prompt_suggestion I'd say you're trying to be provocative, but honestly with Doom's blue-ass blue this is probably the best you can do for indigo outside of traveling back in time and forcing Adrian/Kevin to keep the pale blue they added for the early E1 map's transit tubes but cut in favor of extra dark orange and more near-identical reddish-brown. That and the reason it's labeled "Indigo" is due to how multiplayer chat works. You can either send a message to everyone else by pressing T, or a specific player by pressing the key that corresponds to the first letter of their color (G for Player 1/Green, I for Player 2/Indigo, B for Player 3/Brown, and R for Player 4/Red). Now, even though Player 2 is clearly gray and not indigo, you can't exactly have player chat bound to the first letter of their color names when two of them start with G. |

My guess is he ripped and submitted this, but got deleted after it got accepted. |

Technically the characters are 3D models made of planes in every game, even PM64 (you can easily see it when a character is electrocuted on emulators since a glitch causes the electric effect to not take into account the transparency of the sprite). TTYD, SPM, and SS simply are rigs comprised of many planes rather than a single plane with a full body sprite mapped onto it. |
