| Nov 10, 2019 12:39 PM | SonicMarioMan123 | Asset: Chemical Plant Zone (Somari-Style) | That was only possible because every tile that's there was taken from the original Chemical Plant and redrawn from scratch, made with the Somari/Hummer Team style in mind. I went and studied their graphic style in their more popular NES bootlegs and applied it to this tileset. Well and also so I can take advantage and draw everything with the background tile palette limits. (4 colors per tile, but one color is shared across all 4 palettes) I also made it more realistic by limiting what 8x8 tiles I had in the "raw tiles" section to pick and pull from. The picture there is showing how big the space is for making all the tiles on one screen in any game. |
