| Nov 17, 2019 12:45 PM | Paraemon | Asset: Knuckles (Angel Island Zone Act 1) | I noticed during the livestream that if you move Sonic far enough past Knuckles during the 'cutscene', then Rad Red's palette changes to the blue variant, which is also seen in the final by disabling layers and going frame by frame. But this version of Knuckles much better matches the later Chaotix and Mania styles, and he feels a lot more menacing than his eventual trickster status in 3K. It'd have been nice to see more of him in this style. |

The way the hair is blown in the wind, and stuff like the forehead, makes these sprites incredibly expressive and cool. And at last, we have Sonic 2-styled Knuckles, too!
