Each tile is 256x256, there are 296 tiles, you do the math. Anyhow, each tile is already assembled so even if it wasn't zipped it wouldn't change anything...

@Akira: Things to keep in mind:

1. Patience is a virtue.
2. The Switch version of Sonic Mania hadn't been dumped yet.
3. The PS4/XBox One versions of the game are impossible to extract.
4. Patience is a virtue.
5. The PC version of Sonic Mania (the one that people will be able to extract things from) isn't out until sometime tomorrow, so you can't expect people to have stuff up BEFORE its release.
6. Complaining about that on the page for a fan game that had existed for several months (and has almost no relation to Sonic Mania other than the title) is petty.
