The Hyper Ring isn't the "Big Ring." In the game, there's a powerup where you collect a monitor with a blue ring on it, which turns your ring counter blue. Then, when you get hit, instead of dropping all your rings individually and losing some altogether, bigger rings called "Hyper Rings" drop instead, which give you a fraction of the rings you had, making it much easier to get back up to what you were at before. The "Big Ring" on the other hand, is a giant ring hidden somewhere in the level that, when touched, brings you to a special stage, where you can earn Chaos Emeralds to turn into Super Sonic. |

@Game4brains It really depends on how many regional differences there are. In Black Belt they almost completely reskinned the backgrounds and characters. |

Technically there's still a few sprites missing from this. The basic walking, running, and jumping sprites on the first row have versions with different faces, the sprites for when he gets covered or falls in mud have another palette where it's water, and the sprites where he gets covered in some kind of blue liquid also has an alternate red palette |

@Snessy the Duck. One of the things Bronies are called because they like a girl's toyline about ponies. Funny thing about the My Little Pony brand is that it was originally intended to be gender neutral from the beginning, and it took four generations to finally do that. Heck, the person who owns the world's largest Barbie collection happens to be a man. |
