Given every other piece of media Gil is in just calls him by his name and this game is pretty ancient by internet terms... I see no reason it should be hidden. I don't think many games on this site strive to preserve spoilers. |
May 21, 2018, 2:33 AM | Sarara Shiki-kan | Game: The Great Giana Sisters |
That thing where Nintendo sued the developers of Giana Sisters was just a widespread rumour, and was created after the game was pulled from the shelves. The actual reason why it was pulled was because of poor sales. |
May 21, 2018, 1:55 AM | Silverblaze | Update: 100,000 Sheets! |
Been visiting this site since 2014 Congrats |
May 21, 2018, 1:23 AM | Sarara Shiki-kan | Game: THE iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls |
@Zet Well, here in Scandinavia it’s kinda the same thing. If you look at some Danish kids’ movies they have a lot of swearing, sexual content and drug/alcohol references, and there it is illegal to censor content. Same is with here in Norway. |
May 20, 2018, 11:26 PM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Sheet: Joe |
They didn't even bother to disguise his name.... |
May 20, 2018, 11:03 PM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Sheet: Met |
@MM734 Only in the "they just didn't care" English translations. It's actually apparently supposed to be "Metall" in order to be a pun on some phrase that goes "all helmet," according to interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwaTPXS4XtU |
May 20, 2018, 11:00 PM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Game: Super Smash Bros. Customs |
@Beanluv Um, I sent 2 messages. You sent like 12. |

May 20, 2018, 6:16 PM | Dunkelschwamm | Sheet: Bio: Walter Lord |
Congrats to Walter Lord on being the speculated 100,000'th sheet. |
May 20, 2018, 5:26 PM | DMZapp | Sheet: Koopa Troopas (Paper Mario-Style) |
Kind of. They're Blue Koopas from the Color Splash Recut fanstory I did. I included them as a bonus, as well as to make pure blue sprites available. |
May 20, 2018, 4:34 PM | The Birdomatic | Game: Mad Max |
the original open world mad max game |

May 20, 2018, 4:23 PM | shadowman44 | Sheet: Alex |
No Hyper Bombs here, I'm afraid. |
May 20, 2018, 1:49 PM | Yawackhary | Sheet: Title Screen |
I'm starting to wonder whether this was meant to be a SG-1000 game but Yuji Naka procrastinated so much that it ended up on the Master System. Judging by the Japanese title screen, it seems very likely [note: Master System does not have a Space or a Return key but the SC-3000 however does]. |
May 20, 2018, 1:31 PM | ZTO | Sheet: Leon |
Dude gotta lay off the radiation. |
May 20, 2018, 11:52 AM | Sarara Shiki-kan | Update: 100,000 Sheets! |
Yeah, hehe. I have been visiting this beauty of a paradise heaven since late 2013, while I was learning on how to make a sprite character. lol XD |
May 20, 2018, 11:03 AM | Gaia | Sheet: Has Bean |
The unknown assailant of Robotnik's nefarious scheme was this little bean! |
May 20, 2018, 10:57 AM | Superjustinbros | Update: 100,000 Sheets! |
In that case, congrats to Walter Lord. May your legacy live on as the one to send the sheet count into six digits. |
May 20, 2018, 10:41 AM | Dolphman | Game: Halloween Bash |
@Sarara Shiki-Kan I'm getting more vibes from 60s & 70s anime styles. |
May 20, 2018, 8:34 AM | Sarara Shiki-kan | Game: Halloween Bash |
The art style looks like something out of Ed, Edd n' Eddy. |
May 20, 2018, 8:23 AM | Superjustinbros | Sheet: Enemies |
Thanks, I'll get that fixed. These were ripped using YY-CHR followed by applying NEStopia's palette. It's the most accurate to the raw image of an NES, at least in my opinion, and it's also the most common NES emulator I use. If I use FCEUX (which by default has a really bright and saturated palette) then it's just to check how sprites are loaded and animated. |
May 20, 2018, 8:13 AM | Superjustinbros | Game: Fighting Hero (Bootleg) |
Five seconds? Are you serious? |
May 20, 2018, 4:08 AM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Sheet: Koopa Troopas (Paper Mario-Style) |
Nice Troopas, but what's the lower-right supposed to represent? Something from Color Splash? |
May 20, 2018, 4:00 AM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Sheet: Font, Item Box and Artifacts |
Huh, on some sheets I've seen, the UFO was blue. Is this an emulator/system-dependent thing? I can't remember if it was blue or purple or the emulator I played, but that was about 10 years ago... |
May 20, 2018, 2:10 AM | Ivo | Sheet: Falling Armored Car |
I always figured that it would've fallen off the bridges in the final mission, like the darin does. |
May 20, 2018, 1:47 AM | Snessy the Duck | Sheet: Characters |
What on earth is up with small Mar-...er, I mean Super Boy's jumping sprite? |
May 20, 2018, 1:42 AM | Snessy the Duck | Sheet: Mega Man |
@MarioMadness734 You're not colorblind, they changed Mega Man's palette in 9 and 10. |
May 20, 2018, 1:01 AM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Sheet: Fina |
Hey Shiki, you're looking different. |
May 20, 2018, 1:00 AM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Game: Soul Falchion (Bootleg) |
Wait, did someone make a bootleg NGPC fighting game.... .....one the GBC? |
May 19, 2018, 11:33 PM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Sheet: Billy |
So is this guy like Eagle? He's certainly not Billy Kane.... |
May 19, 2018, 11:31 PM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Sheet: Enemies |
Namcats! We call him "Goro" in the West. |
May 19, 2018, 10:35 PM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Sheet: Mecha Sonic |
Indeed. Ken Penders's (or at least, it was probably his) stupidity is probably one of the main reasons so many people misidentify this as Silver Sonic. |
May 19, 2018, 10:31 PM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Sheet: Characters |
@Sifi270 I saw an LP years back, and what you get is literally the word "END" written in standard SMB font. The room is otherwise empty. After a very tedious and repetitive game. |
May 19, 2018, 10:25 PM | Ashley | Game: Plok! |
nah, it's good as hell also since yall are here, go read the web comic continuation by the two brothers who designed the game |
May 19, 2018, 9:34 PM | Random Talking Bush | Sheet: Mighty (Sonic Mania-Style) |
Plus you're completely misunderstanding what Dolphman said. He was saying that the Mania devs wouldn't just use another user's sprite work, not that we shouldn't have this here... |
May 19, 2018, 9:19 PM | Dolphman | Sheet: Mighty (Sonic Mania-Style) |
@THiN CRUST Now you're being disrespectful. MisterMike put in a lot of work to make this sheet. |
May 19, 2018, 9:17 PM | Random Talking Bush | Update: 100,000 Sheets! |
If I had to guess, it was one of the Titanic submissions that pushed it over. Current count as of this post is 100,179, latest submission is the Mappy-Land enemies at 105,799. Subtract the difference from the IDs (105,799 - 179) and you have Walter Lord. |
May 19, 2018, 9:04 PM | THiN CRUST | Sheet: Metal Sonic |
@MisterMike Will we ever have Metal Sonic sprites from the "Rebooted" Hack? |
May 19, 2018, 9:03 PM | THiN CRUST | Sheet: Mighty (Sonic Mania-Style) |
@Dolphman Agreed. I think it's best that we don't have this. |
May 19, 2018, 4:59 PM | Nintendo's chosen hero | Sheet: Xefros' Room |
I believe you mean respiteblock |
May 19, 2018, 4:34 PM | Petie | Update: 100,000 Sheets! |
@Rainbow Question Mark Unfortunately, I'm not sure which one hit that 100k mark exactly. Sheet IDs are well into the 105k value due to sheets and games being deleted for one reason or another over the years. This sheet has 100,000 as its ID but it was added to the site back in November 2017 whereas the actual live sheet count only broke 100k this past week. |
May 19, 2018, 4:07 PM | Yawackhary | Update: 100,000 Sheets! |
Thanks everyone for the sheets, not just this update but for every update. Some of the stuff that I've seen over the years has been amazing (and not so amazing but still worked hard ripping them). Oh and that dark skin will come in handy for people who have problems looking at the site to make them easier to see. Oddly enough I don't feel any pride, I don't think that I felt any for years. At least that I've managed to make it this milestone and was lucky enough to rip again after suffering (and still am) from bad hands as well as poorly last year. Probably not for long though. If anything the pride should really go to the young passionate rippers who have energy, skill and dedication to keep ripping as long as they want. They deserve it. Some really do go above and beyond. |
May 19, 2018, 4:00 PM | Rainbow Question Mark | Update: 100,000 Sheets! |
Can we take a look of milestone sheets? I would like to see the 100,000th sheet. |
May 19, 2018, 3:58 PM | Super Bluey | Sheet: Chuck Billy / Chico Bento |
...They called him Chuck Billy? lmao ...or would that be kkkkkkkk? |
May 19, 2018, 2:42 PM | Superjustinbros | Update: 100,000 Sheets! |
Not at all! I worked hard delivering all these sheets myself over the years and it was cool seeing the milestone being reached after so long! Congrats everyone! |
May 19, 2018, 2:42 PM | QueenPenguin | Sheet: Monica |
Just Monica |
May 19, 2018, 2:24 PM | Dunkelschwamm | Update: 100,000 Sheets! |
@ZetTheLegendaryHero I certainly feel pride in my contribution to this milestone :) This all feels like a terrific accomplishment. Everybody who has submitted sheets to this site should feel a sense of pride today. |
May 19, 2018, 2:18 PM | Yawackhary | Game: Super Tennis/Great Tennis |
@SiFi270 Funnily enough, someone else in the past asked the same question who was an expert on tennis games and the truth is that we don't know. I did manage to find that Intelligent Systems did the Nintendo tennis games and the tennis game in Sega Game Pack 4 in 1, Arc System Works had some development involved. No clue on Super Tennis but maybe the developers liked that game. I do know that Tose was heavily influenced by or even stole code from Final Match Tennis while making Super Tennis (the SNES one, not this one). |
May 19, 2018, 2:16 PM | Rainbow Question Mark | Update: 100,000 Sheets! |
OMG!!! My biggest revision yet has been featured! |
May 19, 2018, 2:14 PM | Deathbringer | Sheet: Mega Man |
Probably because NES games don't have a native palette and anything ripped from them use estimated colors. |
