@rasgar Makes sense, although it seems kind of weird that they didn't include a character from the one faction that DID debut in EV. But I guess they played it safe by focusing on established (and popular, at least in Yumi's case) characters, which more people would probably care about. |

@Viscera This is simply what the sections were called - as I understand it, every few months, the game introduces a new set of guest characters. At times the title is the name of a series/franchise/etc (as is the case with Tatsunoko), while at others it is the name of a specific entry in a series. This leads me to believe that the Estival Versus character set was released when Estival Versus was new, or at least pretty recent. Then, I imagine those were well received, and they decided to release another group of SK characters that represented the series as a whole, rather than specifically EV. Speaking as someone who knows nothing about SK, but had to look up the characters to make sure I was getting their names right, it looked to me that the EV set was taking one major character from each of the factions that were featured in that particular game. You can also see this with Hakuoki. I know nothing about that series either, but Kyoto Winds and Edo Blossoms aren't even really separate games - they are, as I understand it, two halves of a remake of the first Hakuoki game. There's a third set of Hakuoki characters I haven't posted yet which are tied to Hakuoki Shinkai, a compilation of Kyoto Winds and Edo Blossoms. So there surely aren't any new characters introduced in that, but the character set was added to this game to coincide with the release of the compilation. All of this is mostly guesswork on my part, without being able to read Japanese and trying to piece together information from a game that's been going for around 4 years, but I think these are reasonable assumptions! |

Actually, why is "Senran Kagura: Estival Versus" separate from "Senran Kagura"? None of the characters are exclusive to (or debuted in) EV. |

Yeah, this game was unfortunately never released in America for some reason. Considering Europe finally got Chrono Trigger after all these years, it'd be nice to see Terranigma get the same treatment. |

If anything, "Sponge" is based off an S-marked orange Mario recolor that is an unused graphic in Super Mario 3D World. |

Or release it in America at all? Emulation's the only way to play this in America iirc. |

At the same time, we treat Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles as separate, and if memory serves me right they're just Sonic 3 parts 1 and 2 in Japan. |
May 28, 2019, 3:24 PM | MollyChan | Game: Final Fantasy 4 (Bootleg) |
While I'm no expert on the matter, I'd say that treating both carts as a single game would make the most sense. The way I see it, it's like if our section for Final Fantasy VII was split up into 3 parts for each disc. It'd just be clunky and awkward. |

@NzVHS: Frankly a lot of them probably need re-ripping anyway, I noticed several tile-alignment issues on many of the Route sheets. @TeridaxXD001: Only if they are ripped from a legitimate ROM, we can't just accept someone else's "rips" in this case. |
