I really wish there was a Didj emulator out there, or at least a virtual machine of whatever version of Linux it runs. Also, I don't know a good way to test this besides using a leapster explorer which seems to have it auto-unlocked (unless its just on my leapster explorer), but there's extra sprites in the form of "micromods" for Sonic. there's custom idle poses for sonic reading the news, playing with a yoyo, and sitting with a parasol (or whatever those sand umbrellas are). There's also victory poses for sonic breakdancing, moonwalking, and doing a backflip. |

For anyone who wanna extract sprites directly from game files: Download this: http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/826/ Grab game files from way you wanna; Copy them to where you unpacked DS/GBA decompressor i said you to download and do the following command line via cmd: blz.exe -d filenamehere Where 'filenamehere' is the file name, so, for example: if you wanna decompress '8ore_mario.bcrez' you'll need to do: blz.exe -d 8ore_mario.bcrez After this, drag'n'drop that same file at switch toolbox, made by KillzXGaming, and see magic occurs (well, i suppose you already know about how to use switch toolbox, since i won't teach this here) and export as png for your desire; Since there are so many of those .bcrez files, you can also do the following: Copy all those .bcrez files to where you decompressed DS/GBA Decompressors programs and do the following command via cmd: for %f in ( *.bcrez ) do "C:\path\to\where\program\is\blz.exe" "-d" "%f" Change 'C:\path\to\where\program\is' for full path where programs are placed in; After this, drag'n'drop those files at switch toolbox and export them as you wish. And that's it. |

That was likely the idea. Link did mistakenly call her Zelda, not to mention Marin is likely Link's "perfect fantasy girlfriend" a manifestation of who he wishes Zelda was. |

The reason the words "The Hedgehog" and "Discovery" are here because the game was going to called Sonic The Hedgehog Discovery (Shorter Version: Sonic Discovery) It was changed to Sonic Mania because one of the developers said one of the most famous lines (still behind "Genesis Does what Nintendon't): This project is by the mania for the mania. So after that one of the sprite workers decided to remove the text "The Hedgehog" and "Discovery" and created the text sprite: Mania. My friend said he would hate it if it was called "Sonic Discovery". I agreed. Luckliy, we were given Sonic Mania |
Apr 10, 2020, 5:17 PM | The Sprite Planet | Sheet: Special Stage Objects |
@MarioMadness734 The two text: "Time to escape!" and "Hyper" went unused. "Time to escape" has an unknown purpose (My theory: You got the chaos emerald already and you just need to reach an ending part of the special stage to get the chaos emerald) And "Hyper" means that Hyper Sonic/Tails/Knuckles/Mighty/Ray was planned but was scrapped. This is proof from the blue spheres files. There are unused sprites of no only chaos emeralds but also hyper emeralds as well! They are ripped straight from Sonic 3 & Knuckles |

Hi guys, as i wrote in super paper mario section in tsr: https://www.spriters-resource.com/wii/superpapermario/#comments Switch toolbox by KillzXGaming, recognizes files from 'a' folder (which you have access after extracting files via dolphin).. Just be sure to drag'n'drop files which names ends with '-'. It also recognize texture files from 't' files of each folder that is in 'm' folder. So, good ripping for you all! =] |

Apr 10, 2020, 12:54 PM | Machow8 | Game: Super Paper Mario |
For anyone that wanna extract sprites from this game with native quality without using dolphin emulator: nintendo toolbox, made by KillzXGaming, recognizes files from 'a' folder (which you have access after extracting files via dolphin)! It's a fantastic tool! This is from one of the graphics/textures/sprites files from that said folder: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/640577158435176459/698243998199971985/unknown.png Just be sure to drag'n'drop files which names ends with '-'. This also apply to gamecube paper mario game: https://www.spriters-resource.com/gamecube/pmttyd/#comments So, this can help us find some unused stuff resting there. =] |

You're actually missing some sprites. One set of them is the snowboarding section if Flying Battery is between Carnival Night and Ice Cap, where Sonic uses a door as the snowboard. The other, I could understand why they aren't on here. They aren't seen in normal gameplay and can only be seen with debug. Sonic's CD falling sprites appear in the Sonic 2 style sprites. Only place I know they appear is when you fight Knux's final boss as Sonic, when Egg Robo grabs you. I'm sure there's even more, but that's all I know. Good work ripping these though! Nice seeing this on the site. |

Beyond what is present in the Nick Arcade prototype for Chemical Plant Zone (through selecting Labyrinth Zone), the ripple effect does not exist underwater in the final game. Instead, ripple effects are present on the water surface in Emerald Hill, Chemical Plant and Casino Night Zones, and a Heat Haze effect (akin to the ripples) for the sun in Oil Ocean Zone. |

@Doc von Schmeltwick I think that's why Golden Egg (A YI editor) does most of the tiny details on its own (shadows on background walls below ceilings, etc.) |
