I should address some things since it would be dumb to have an argument on a sprite website: • Mine is more of a rom hacking friendly one where stuff is more constructed per tile and what's repeatable or not, and his poses have more references to his actual in-game poses (Classic has poses inspired by the ones from Sonic 1 (Running very close down to the shoe detail that the frames I used had, Death, Skidding, Sliding, and the jump being from the S1 prototype sprites, which was mostly the same in Mania), Modern has poses similar to the ones from Advance (Skidding, Victory pose, ) and Modern in general (Running, Ducking to a point). The poses that both do share, Modern's are usually a more "cooler" version of them. And not to mention this one is more closer to how the SMW sprites for Mario were made (Brown outline for most of the gloves, shadeless shoes, the shading that the sprites do have not being super complex, and not to mention it being made from the same exact palette from Mario (...At least the palette that was in the Mister Man Mario sheet). • The other SMW Sonic's didn't have his super form sprited, at least making that a noticable difference compared to the other 2? I believe. • I know the smile on most of Modern's sprites look weird, and I debated on if I should have the smile or not (since Modern has more of a grin/smug face on him compared to Classic's more determined grin), and the newer revision has the smile used less often. • And what's wrong with having 3 sprites in a similar style? There are plenty of custom 8-bit and 16-bit (granted that 1, 2, and 3 were all 16-bit and all Sonic's best games) Sonic spritesheets but nobody is like "why another one" for those ones, but yet for mine it's like a SMW Sonic has been done 100 times now. It's fine to prefer one sheet over another, but hey, it's probably just me when I suggest not going to the one you don't prefer and be like "the other one is better" "this one sucks" "you should just stop" "crappy job with the inferior sheet" |

Given what the Oracle games were envisioned as, this is quite fitting. Personally, though, I feel giving the bomb wall tile to Spectacle rock kinda destroys the hiddenness. Also, Mothula wall over Manji makes no sense at all, even if they're both no. 3. |

There are also the redrawn versions from the Improvement hack of the original: https://www.spriters-resource.com/nes/sonicthehedgehogimprovement/ (I prefer V1.2 since it's meant to look like the S1 Genesis version, which makes more sense than the S3&K style). |

@Void-the-Bat I know this is two months late, but no, the green flashing Emerald isn't exclusive to the Genesis port. I just found out there seems to be a palette glitch when the Emerald is flashing in the Attract Mode. Instead of being green like in-game, the bottom half of the Emerald's Flashing frame is colored black for whatever reason. I'll upload a revision to include the green palette. |
