| Jan 12, 2023 8:55 PM | Yawackhary | Game: Puzz Loop | @Tristen Timberwolf Not just inspired but Zuma was pretty much a clone of it like how Bubble Witch is a clone of Puzzle Bobble/Bust a Move. The original developers (Mitchell, who were also famous for Pang) were not happy at all and tried to take PopCap to the Japanese courts while they were making Puzz Loop sequels on the DS/WiiWare. Of course since Mitchell went under and EA bought PopCap, no one was really the winner. |

The biggest one is that most graphics in SMW can only use 7 unique colours per tile and there are many, many sprites in this game which use way more than that. Even if a sprite uses that many colours, a single sprite tile palette in SMW is usually made of black, white, three shades of a single colour (most notably, red, green, blue and yellow, the global colours) as well as two shades of orange, though it's also common to find black, white and four shades of a single colour and a different colour (brown and grey, also global) as well. |
