When this game was made in 1988, Naoko Takeuchi was doing romance manga such as Miss Rain or The Cherry Project. She might have started thinking about possible ideas (a couple of the characters can be traced back to anime such as Project A-ko or Mako-chan the Mermaid for inspiration) but it was a long way off. Now how can I put it in a way that's SFW and okay for the young ones here?... Right, a Sailor Fuku (Sailor suit/Sailor uniform) is what a majority of girls wear in Japanese high schools. Sadly there are some creepy and sick people out there and why the likes of this game along with various manga/anime exist. It was underground (this game was not available to buy in most places that sold Famicom games) and may have also involved criminal activity. |
