| Apr 8, 2023 1:36 AM | Yawackhary | Game: Rusty's Real Deal Baseball | It doesn't help that this game only came out in countries where baseball is a major sport and even then I'm not sure if all of the main playing countries got it (did South Korea get this game?). Probably if it wasn't for that video and seeing the characters, then it most likely would have been just as ignored in the Americas due to declining interest in baseball and how the game is set up, not every Nintendo published game gets remembered. Also do think that Nintendo of America was lucky to localize the game, if it was done in the past or even now it would have stayed in Japan... Europe got Nintendo Pocket Football Club instead, part of the Calcio-bit series and is a football manager type of game (but with players that look like sprites and not as "spreadsheet" focused). No Garfield mixed with a walrus looking dog here... |

| Apr 8, 2023 12:43 AM | Mr. L | Game: Rusty's Real Deal Baseball | For the record I bought and completed this game (nearly, I don't think I ever got top ranks on the toughest minigames) when it came out, it just didn't grab most people's attention because a collection of baseball minigames with built-in microtransactions is a weirdly specific thing. But the minigames are really fun! |

| Apr 7, 2023 10:44 PM | Random Talking Bush | Asset: Marina Liteyears | Marina's sprite sheet has been completely re-ripped now, giving all sprites a proper alignment, fixing a few assembly errors in the process (to be fair, I wasn't as skilled at ripping back in 2009) and adding additional context to unused animations (minus a few I'm completely unsure about, marked with "?"). Intro sprites have also been moved to a separate sprite sheet, including everything else from the game's intro sequence. |

Sprites such as the dialogue box or speech options don't seem to have actual graphics, and instead use shapes to be drawn. I assume this because Sonic Mania does similar things for some of it's UI (mainly parallelograms), and said sprites are not in the absurdly easy extractable files. tl;dr Some sprites are made by the engine in realtime, probably. If not they're hidden real well. |

When searching for Character Editor 98, there is little information available about who manufactured or published it, and there are no images available, only descriptions. There is also a software called Character Maker 98, and based on the information I found. Maybe that Editor 98 was a beta version of Character Maker 98. This remains my doubt. |
