I still find it pretty disappointing how an interesting course part such as this is only exclusively available for ground night theme. Not to mention this item itself is already quite gimmicky so people barely even use them to begin with. So underrated imo, hopefully in the next installment (if there's even one) they'll let us use some night theme "gags" into an actual part of the game that we can use and take control anywhere else without having restriction for seemingly no reason. |

I don't mean this exact map (the island is too small imo). It was likely dropped early before sprite art commenced. The zone order would've been like, Green Hill, Bridge, Marble, Jungle, Spring Yard, Labyrinth, Starlight, Scrap Brain, Sky Base. The city in SY and SL seems to be built into the mountains. It's still visible after exiting the Labyrinth caverns. But like i said, this island rendition is too small and cramped to accommodate all that. What bugs me is that Scrap Brain is built on top of the highest peak here making it look more like a fortress. In the 16-bit (and even in the 8-bit) it's clearly a city on a level plain on the other side of the island. |

So playing both Not So Simple Sonic Advance (2) Worlds, I realized Tails has a sprite during the Spin Dash where it squeezes up, like Sonic and Knuckles' sheets have. But it seems to be missing here... and All Tails Advance sheets? Were those made for Advance Worlds or just something missing from this sheet? |

It misses a lot of stuff here, such as minigames, Toy Field, text & challenge mode in both english and japanese. also it misses the japanese banners, Character Logo & icons (Birdo is an example), Wii menu icon and Title Screen. |

@BrianFanTheHedgefox For most of the NES era, Tengen were not licensed publishers/developers for Nintendo making it in their view a bootleg. Pac-Man was licensed though as it was one of their 3 games that were along with RBI Baseball and Gauntlet before Tengen decided to break the protection chip as they were frustrated by the 5 game limit. Ms. Pac-Man was released after that. (Some did get a licensed re-release such as Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, some were licensed in Japan such as KLAX and Super Sprint). Unlicensed would be a better word to use. |

It is a reference to Final Fight where you smash the car up in the bonus stage, it makes more sense in the context of being in an run down inner city. People smashing cars with baseball bats do tend to happen as part of anti-social behaviour. As for destruction derby, only familiar with the PS1 games. Do know demolition derby tends to happen in the southern states of the US, it is enough to get referenced in cartoons and appears in the DiRT/GRID series. Yet always thought that NASCAR was more popular around those parts. There's also banger racing in the UK which is similar but you have to complete the race, it is also a minor racing event compared to the other types of racing where those get televised (e.g. F1, Touring Cars, Rally, MotoGP, Speedway). |
