The difficulty balancing, hit detection and character movesets are immensely better in the SNES port. Obviously in an ideal world we'd have kept the graphical fidelity and 4 players of the Arcade game, but if you have to pick a version to play, this one far surpasses its Arcade counterpart. There's a reason everyone was disappointed when Re-Shelled came out and it was based on the Arcade version.

I guess that guy was full of crap. 61 mb is pretty big for 2/3 of the assets to be missing. A little bit after it was leaked someone on twitter dumped all the sprites and posted a link. Fortunately i wasn't too late to the party on that one. Shang Tsung had a back flip and all the characters had a 3 hit combo (a precursor to dial-a-combo) were these among your findings?

I couldn't find the UMK3 code but the sprites were dumped as well, but TCRF has some sprites that weren't in the dump like Kung Lao's MK3 bio sprite. Speaking of MK3 the arcade source code is supposed to be in an MK3 source code collection that's been on Internet Archive since 2018. I'd be curious to know if there's anything about the human ninjas in that.
