@Magic Mike Matei Funny you should mention the backgrounds because I was working on a sheet back in May.There were a few left to rip, a few to check and getting those pesky palettes (did you know that the sky palette is generated by the code and cannot be viewed in bsnes-plus or vsnes palette viewers without hacking, as in getting the values from the ROM). One day it'll be done hopefully by 2023 and doing the game justice.

Also was working on the font and the results too.

@Dakino: Not sure what exactly you mean with "Europe" or why you're talking about it like it's a single country, but in Germany it did ran on TV on a channel that showed various other anime shows as well. Not sure how popular it was, but it certainly wasn't super obscure.

@Pikashu2 Because they are old rips done when the current site was starting (I'm guessing that they're at least 14-15 years old maybe more by long retired rippers, done before some people who go on here were even born). The rippers weren't sure whether those are all the sprites or one rip has something that the other doesn't hence the two sheets, many games from the early days of tSR can have two or more rips of the same thing.

In all honesty, the game should really be sorted out because it is a bit of a mess. Duplicated sheets, some having edits and recolors on the sheet. It could do with someone knowledgeable about the game for re-rips like what happened to Super Metroid and Yoshi's Island recently, yet this is more obscure despite the popular manga/anime. Might do in the future though...

Weird how this was what came of that NES prototype that tried to split off onto the Game Boy and Game Gear (the former of which being the only version of that version that got released) and we were left with this bizarre take on the original concept.

Pretty sure Porcupo's missing some frames of animation. Also Albatoss has an 8th animation frame that goes unused due to a bug (said bug also affects things like POW Blocks and Cherries since they use the same animation system as Albatoss).

What with Metal Slug Attack announcing it's end of service for next year; we may need to find a way to rip and compile all yet to be archived sprite assets into sheets before the games service life comes to an end: Everlasting Summer Growth & Cline, Blue Lightning Super Devil Fio and a bunch of other sprite units in need of compiled sprite sheets will need to be captured and compiled before it's too late; hope everyone will be able to save and crunch any backlogs before the game shutters and those sprites lost forever
