As far as I know, those sprites come from a hack of the original NES SMB called Super Atario Bros. It seems like the creator of it didn't know the Atari 2600 limitations, hence why those sprites look like. But I believe those could be easily edited to resemble how the A2600 sprites look.
This is not how a 2600 sprite works. Sprites on the 2600 can't have more than 1 color on a line.
