TBH I'm not sure how well you can slot in most of GoAnimate's content without in some way betraying features of the assets, particularly handheld props and changing heads don't translate outside of flash or other vector formats due to their use of invisible symbol parenting.

It was almost certainly Capcom's own idea since I doubt GoAnimate themselves were interested until then. Good thing they kept their own style instead of following the typical "poor man's FOX" aesthetic (surely there must be a better term for it). Almost makes me wonder if SNK and/or NetherRealm would ever join in after this.

Regarding the "style" of it, GoAnimate's artists at this period of time actually were yet to make the Family Guy adjacent style that would become infamous until around a year later, and even then it never really was their norm. In this era they tended towards a "New Age Retro" style, as books they used for reference called it, but really their style is mostly just "whatever their next project called for".
