the developers probably took pictures of the gundam and digitized the photographs to make the process of making the enemy easier.
What are Gundam's DOM and Macross's VF-1 Valkyrie doing here?
Meanwhile the "Jet" enemy strongly resembles the VF-1 Valkyrie from Macross.
