@Viscera, @Doc: I don't mean any offense, but to me it looks sorta more like gibberish if anything. Then again, some English words DID derive from German, as Doc said.
I'd say English and German are actually extremely close. Which makes sense, since English is a Germanic language. They aren't as close to each other as Spanish and Portuguese are, but there's still an overwhelming amount of cognates. Really the biggest difference seems to be how adjectives are handled. The only truly "weird" language structurally I can think of is French.
@EXEcutor-The-Bat While I'm biased, being German myself, I don't see what's so weird about it. Nor do I think that other languages are weird. Very different, possessing rules I didn't even think existed and maybe hard to understand, but never weird.
