Given that the Little Nemo franchise started in 1905, it's had plenty of time to inspire people.
@Doc von Schmeltwick And I thought I was the only person in this world who thought of that! I saw the movie way back in December 2015, and kept thinking of Ness, his Magicant, and the Nightmare/Inner Demon while watching it.
Wouldn't surprise me if Nemo had some influence on Ness, given Magicant and all, (particularly with certain versions of the respective tales instead opting for non-"parts" nudity).

Why does the "chibi head" Nemo resemble so much like Ness' sprite? (funny thing, is that Nemo reminds me of Ness in his PJs)
