Based on the fact it has teeth in its top jaw, as well as the Darius's series use of prehistoric sea creatures as the basis for some of its boss designs (at least based on what I've seen), I have a feeling this might not just be a regular sperm whale, but specifically livyatan, an extinct genus of sperm whale that had teeth in both its upper and lower jaws, as opposed to extant ones which only have teeth in the lower jaw.

Whales are weird.
