Yes, the girlfriend is missing some of her sprite because it shows up being corrupted in game (the reason according to a hacker was to add the Mode 0 backgrounds) and made a custom fixed version. It affects all known versions of the game. The disc version even suffers from sprite corruption in game regarding the BMX Ninjas. Need to check the Spectrum version to see if it is the same.

Then again it's badly coded. Using the rarely used Mode 2 to store the sprites (so two colours yay) then converting those to Mode 1, it would have been easier for it to be Mode 1 in the first place and gain an extra two colours too...
