comments aged poorly, we now have two taiko 3ds games translated on switch, as well as two switch original taiko games that are translated also
Last time I checked the Switch wasn't even announced. There was something called like "Play Doujin" and it was only for PS Family, because you know, who plays Japanese games on Xbox, lol.

Song licensing maybe. The only Taiko on the US, Taiko Drum Master, sold really poorly. Now with osu! around, more people know about Taiko, maybe it's worth the shot.
touhou fighting games are pretty unique and amazing on their own, so to be honest i can't really imagine any of the girls being in smash.

I highly doubt, though. Seems like Touhou console games only comes to the PS4, and having Touhou in Smash would be difficult in the US, I guess.
