@Dolphman Oh, so he's the one behind "Yesss Pinky!" which should be a meme imo. Didn't know that. And the pilot episode was the one with the mustache? Could've sworn it was later on. Though i do remember Dr. Claw having a different voice early on that was clearly not Frank Welker. Sounded creepier and kinda sickly. I went through a phase when i was like 8 in the very early 90s where i was obsessed with finding out if they revealed Dr. Claws face. I watched any episodes and rented any tapes that i could find. It drove me nuts!

@Silverlight Maurice LaMarche is best known as Brain from Pinky and the Brain. He took over as Inspector Gadget after Don Adams retired from the role by the late 80s and early 90s. After Adam died in 2005 it's been LaMarche since until the 2015 reboot.
As for the mustache, one of the voices in one version of the pilot was the late Gary Owens. (Space Ghost from the original 60s superhero cartoon of the same name, not the Coast to Coast one. Roger Ramjet and Powered Toast Man)

@Lumpy Spirit Ditto.
@Dolphman Who the fuck is Maurice LaMarche? All i know is Don Adams. Did he voice him that time they tried to give him a mustache?

@Lumpy Spirit I watched it a lot as a kid, even have the DVD collection. And being a fan of James Rolfe I guess highlighting how weird the early DiC DVD releases were brought some new light on the franchise. Thanks to how unintentionally funny the menus become.
Like why was Gadget in the menu to many shows unrelated to his? Also the way he talked in them was already meme potential.
(Not sure if it was Maurice LaMarche reprising the role or it was a cheap soundalike due to him not being available)

And then I'm the one in the camp of "Watched the original series and has never seen one of the memes"

@Dolphman And (last time I saw him) a Renault Clio commercial where he makes a brief cameo with Brain to "represent" the '80s.

I remember watching the Disney movie, the second one more especifically which actually captures the tone of the original cartoon better than the Robocop parody the first one tries to be

I also know he can stretch his arms and inflate himself like a balloon. He has kind of a funny face, and most wouldn't describe his antics as "stylish" or "graceful".

"You damn ignorant kids today only know me from memes by Cinnemassacre and not my actual show!"
