Even Arin "Egoraptor" Hanson has said "You know what? I've said some pretty fucking hurtful things, and I will acknowlidge that it is wrong THEN and it is wrong NOW. JonTron is no longer considered a friend." after coming to a conclusion that the past will catch up to him.

It's hilarious to me how many ignorant and toxic comments show up here because of the phrase "Black Lives Matter." Most of you seriously need to calm down.

The toxicity and wanna-be hipsters on both sides of the coin on this website is unreal. Never knew this community wanted to push their self beliefs on others let alone attack someone else that doesn't follow what they themselves believe in. What if I want to believe in both of BLM and ALM? Must I choose a side? Why place a race higher than anyone else? Every Human everywhere, no matter the color, gets flipped on daily but when a video shows up of someone dying then we lose our minds? What about the other black people they've shown multiple times on being abused and even killed by police? Nothing from them? No rights shout out? How about the white person on the bicycle abused by cops? Not black enough to call out Human Rights? How about an Asian kid being beaten senseless in L.A? Not black enough?

You all are nothing but a bunch of hipsters that understands nothing in this world let alone Human and Civil Rights for all of Mankind. I'm ashamed of even joining this community as the ignorance from the webpage staff, and ex staff, know nothing about all the lives.

Want to be a better person? Defend the rights of all mankind instead of just one race as racism doesn't stop at a black person's toes you ignorant imprudent hipster wannabe bandwagon riders. I hope this triggers both BLM and ALM people on here as Human and Civil Rights movements goes farther, and stronger, than just one race. Look outside of the box or are you too scared to stand up for all of Mankind?

I'm out. This place is too racist for my liking.

Not related but... is this the update with the most comments?

“The next MLK march” as in, a legitimate protest event.

Ethnicity. Not "race". The only "race" that exists is the Human race.

"The next MLK". Think about that for a minute. How many times has MLK been quoted, without understanding the full gravity of the events that led to his assassination, unaware of the 400 years of suffering caused by the hands of an oppressive government? That same government since his assasination, attempted to sanitize events like the Stonewall Riot (you guessed it, Pride Month began with a black trans woman). The reason BLM comes up often is BECAUSE of those 400 years...

@LukeWarnut the phrase has been surrounded by controversy because every time it comes up it’s used as a scapegoat for anarchists with no real belief in it to cause chaos due to little to no organization.

These comments are quite upsetting. How is the phrase "Black Lives Matter" controversial?

Again, nobody once said black lives matter more than any other lives. We KNOW that "every life matters". That's kind of obvious. If you think that's what it means, then that says more about you than anything.

Also, that counts as an ignorant comment and I'm pretty sure we said not to post anymore ignorant comments...?

@Siul: It's more sad than funny but I totally get what you're saying. It's all very moronic indeed.

I feel like posting the slogan here with absolutely no expansion upon it was intended to do nothing more than stir a pot.
No logical modern person believes that one life matters more than another because of the color of their skin, the only reasons there are to believe that is the case are divine mumbojumbo and silly scapegoats.
More harm has come from the "protest" riots than good; every time something like this happens the people who participate act like it's the next MLK march and think they're a part of a big historic moment, very few of the people ever seem to care about the actual events going on, and just view every thing as BLACK and WHITE choose a side, and cause civil unrest to stop the bad guys.

I agree that this isn't the right place for things like that, but if the owners of this site think differently, then whatever.

However, the way you chose to do it is... kind of questionable. Just a "Black Lives Matter" in the title and then you post some sprites like always, as if nothing happened. If I were to make a post like that, I would leave the sprites out (and would probably post it outside of the normal schedule anyway) and would actually write something more than an arrow. The way it is now looks kinda insincere. Even the corporations that are now feigning sympathy put more effort in their empty drivel. If it's such a "Big Fucking Deal", it would also require a "Big Fucking Post" and not just a normal that's been retooled a little.

But that's just my two cents as an outsider, who's very glad to live in a country that, despite its own issues, can still be called "civilized".

"This isn't the time or place to point out abhorrent treatment occuring"
What are you talking about? When any tragedy occurs, it's always the time and place, but if it's regarding a larger issue you don't want to hear about it. Get some perspective, yes this is a sprite website, but it is also a Big Fucking Deal. If you don't think it is, stop to wonder if you're blocking out discomfort for people besides you or your family for your own self-absorbed comfort instead. Deal with it.

Yeah man! It's about time people are standing up for all this racism and corruption, If only this level of protesting happened sooner.

I've heard a businessman who had a sword for whatever reason (I have no idea) was attacked and most likely killed.

@Murphmario Yeah, while there is a time and place for everything, I feel like a sprite website is not the place to bring this up. The forums would probably be a better place to discuss a topic like this.

I support police officers not killing innocent people because of the color of their skin, but honestly not sure bringing BLM up in an update was a good idea.

George Floyd matters. Give immoral police the sack. Be fair to those who haven't unjustly mistreated, injured or killed anyone.

A tiny bit off topic, but is Doc leaving the site forever because of a discussion? Man he's tripping!

Seriously, y'all need to stop acting like children and grow up. Just because this is a site where people submit sprite-sheets and such, doesn't mean we aren't free to talk about more serious topics like racism. What do you want us to do, act like we live in a fairy-tale where everything is happy and carefree? Pfft, no.

You know, if standing up for the rights of innocent lives makes you want to leave the site, then I'm afraid that's on you and I'm very sorry you feel that way. There is really no need to get involved if you don't support the cause or don't like us making an important statement and there was especially no need to make such comments (this goes for Doc and everyone else who is continuing to make ignorant comments).

Just please stop commenting if you are going to spout ignorance or lack civility, which includes trying to argue the message by posting BS "facts" and otherwise just showing signs of racism.
