His mecha version doesn't have an extra sprite, the game uses a "poof" sfx on him (which does nothing) and immediately starts the fight.
Afterwards, he is gone (despite the group taking a sample of his blood).
Too bad the remakes didn't use this, they just have his regular form throwing spells.
