@Magic Mike Matei the Batman expy becomes a Devilman expy
Spider-Man goes from wearing black pants to his official blue pants (as Sega at the time had the rights to use Spider-Man in their own games) and later his all-pink palette when Sega no longer had the license to use him as is. Batman quickly went from being Batman to a bat monster. Godzilla went from being Godzilla with red fireballs to a T-Rex Skeleton with blue fireballs.
Now all the bosses are done.
And in the current revision since the license has long expired, he's now all pink.
@YGbJm: Yeah, apparently in one of the later revisions, Spiderman was actually put in officially. The copyright screen even makes mention of it.
