@Sonictheoofhog4 Because Vaporeon is the most compatible Pokémon for humans. Not only are they cute as a button, but Vaporeon are one of the more popular Pokemon out of all of the original 151. This means they're bound to be picked by many a player, and with their impressive moveset and power, you can do fairly well in battle with one. Due to their mostly water based biology, there's no doubt in my mind that Dan Fornace worked very hard to make their moveset very fluid and creative, so much so that you could play over 100 games with them without getting bored. Being able to shoot bubbles, dash at incredible speeds, create puddles by throwing water around, and even teleport to said puddles, it'd be incredibly easy for one to take plenty of stocks with grace. No other fighter comes close to this level of compatibility. Also, fun fact, Vaporeon's moveset in this game was the direct inspiration for Orcane's moveset in Rivals of Aether, Super Smash Land's spiritual successor.
Out of all the other Pokemon, why vaporeon?
Why stop at Vaporeon? Add Eevee and have it evolve mid battle.
@OPStellar Heck yeah, I'd like Vaporeon in Smash Bros! I have an entire list of characters I'd like to see in Smash. :P
