By default, all traffic will be challenged but logged in users will bypass those challenges completely. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause as it was never our intention to try to force registration and you certainly still don't have to - passing one of those challenges should keep you in the clear for a half-hour otherwise.

Note to future readers: It seems Overwatch 2 has a system where it creates a portrait based on the skin you are wearing. The game does not store separate graphic files for each skin like Overwatch 1 did. The only graphic files available are for the default skins, leftovers from Overwatch 1, and one unused graphic featuring Sojourn.
