Collecting the same melee weapon twice upgrades it, that explains the length varying. Also the sword gains a projectile. And the throwing stars/kunai are missing too. And I think there's a third weapon(VGmaps has one shown I don't recognize) but I haven't really focused on finding them all. I haven't even played past the first level honestly.
EDIT: The thing I didn't recognize is an exploding bowling ball.
The whip... thing(what is it? Anyone know?) actually can be swung in at least five different directions(the standing straight up swing is missing I think, I see the diagonal up already). Additionally level 3 has ladders so this is missing the climbing animation frames(why it even needs it when you can climb platforms is questionable, but it's there). This is one of those games that practically needs a code reader or rom hack to get the sprites properly, given the dark backgrounds and incomplete black outlines of characters and objects.

The Sprite should be light blue not pink.

I think it's fine, you can tell the difference in colors.

The sheet needs to be a different color than the sprites.
