Crediting the person who ripped the sprite may open somebody's eyes to the fact that resources like this even exist, which could in-turn inspire them to get into something like animation. Them requesting credit on THIS is a bit up-their-own-arse but in general crediting people is really helpful (so just don't credit this guy and credit the site rather than trying to outright discourage crediting people altgoether)

After all, why not?

Why shouldn't I refuse to give credit?

@UlticraftMTT Well RTB's sheets DO still exist for MM 9 and 10, granted they default to the Wii palettes now.

i agree, if i used these sprites without credit, none of the rippers would ever know at all. I know it's nice and everything also, but at the end of the day it isn't your sprites and there's various other sites with these same sprites ripped that don't explicitly say to give credit, like Sprites INC for Mega Man and Castlevania sprites. Also, i liked Random Talking Bush's Mega Man sheet better honestly.

People demanding you give them credit for something they didn't make has been a thing on this site for more than a decade, I'm not quite sure what kind of clout they can get from having their names in credits but.

Question, why do I have to give credit for a sprite that isn't yours? I know that it's to be nice, but I don't get why credit isn't at least optional? Please reply.
