By default, all traffic will be challenged but logged in users will bypass those challenges completely. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause as it was never our intention to try to force registration and you certainly still don't have to - passing one of those challenges should keep you in the clear for a half-hour otherwise.

@E-Tank_4280J: Presumably, Guts Man's icon counts partially as a background object with a small section of his sprite overlayed instead of being a fully-assembled sprite like the others, so that he doesn't cause sprite flickering on the select screen due to the scanline sprite limitations that the NES has.
