Bob the Tomato is pissed. I guess Larry finally pushed him too far.

New version that makes it a bit more clear what version everything comes from has been submitted.

The VS. System version for arcades is an improved version of the game. It fixes one sprite for Popo, adds bees as an additional enemy (they fly forward at a quick pace on the same floor you're on when they spawn, they may move up and down a little if you're not on the same floor as them), spheres with a 2, 3 or 4 may be found when busting blocks, which act as a multiplier, multiplying the bonus points you get from picking up vegetables during the bonus stage (the sprite for picking it up looks like a small explosion or firework, the game basically draws the 8x8 tile in the upper right corner and moves it clockwise each frame to create a single, transparent sprite).

One vegetable had its colors changed (the potato was made yellower and the dark red spots were made transparent), and 10 new vegetables were added to the rotation. Several new sound effects were added and the music has been extended and updated a bit. Sometimes a windstorm blows, though this seems to be random (it's also random if it uses the snowflake sprites or the leaves, which use the same colors as the blocks and thus change after you've busted the blocks on upper floors). After every 8 mountains you climb, you enter a super bonus stage, which you have to climb up to a flag to get a 30'000 point bonus (having the time run out or falling out of bounds anywhere below still gets you at least 1000 points). Here, Popo and Nana can swing their hammers on the floors that would be the normal stage usually, though the hammer itself isn't drawn.

The second set of levels you go to has different colors, making it teal/purple/red rather than green/brown/ice blue like the first set (each set is 24 mountains, and there's 16 new mountains to round it out) and has a moth in place of the conder at the top, which bobs up and down rather than always flying at the same level. The color palette for the condor is replaced with a blue and purple one, but the moth uses the same colors as Popo/the Toppies instead, leaving it unused.

The FDS version is a port of the VS. System version, but the bees had their sprites removed (they use the same sprites as the Nitpickers here) and the moth was replaced with the condor again, though it uses the previously unsued palette, turning it blue and purple. Everything else that was added to the VS. System version is present here. The "INSERT COIN" text was replaced with the same "1 PLAYER GAME" and "2 PLAYER GAME" selection from the NES original, though it uses the middle portion of a cloud platform in place of the hammer as the selection icon. Coincidentally, both the VS. System and FDS versions use the international Topi design in all regions.

Finally the e-reader port on GBA is identical to the original NES release (down to having the Topi designs be region-specific) but the GAME OVER sprite was squished, being the only one that's changed. I couldn't get the color palette for it though.

The only unused sprites I'm sure of across all versions are the one where Popo/Nana hold their hammers while standing upright, the alternate colors for the bee which is missing one tile, and the all white Popo/Nana sprite. The only other versions I could've looked into would be the PC-88 and Sharp X1 ports, but those would be better suited to those console sections.

I didn't even know Ice Climbers had a lot of version differences. Anywhere I can read about them all?

The best update this sheet's ever gotten.

(though it axed off some tiles)

@Ton
The Bees and the moth are exclusive characters to the Arcade version of Ice Climber, and the blue Condor is a Famicom Disk system exclusive, replacing the arcade version's moth.

Not everything in the game (including non-JP versions), but it still has a lot of ripped content and is very clean and detailed.
