@Keenan He's actually probably thinking of the Game Boy remake of this game, as it was released internationally.
@Depressed Mario You might be thinking of Mach Rider or one of the many other F1 games on the NES.
theres actually a hack of this out there that essentially turns the game into an 8-bit version of Mario Kart (albeit without power-ups). Surprisingly the graphics actually look good and the hack even adds a character select (though most characters are just palette swaps).
I Thought it was released in the USA
