I wanted to see a Balloon Kid like game where you can dodge obstacles
I thought it would be Donald Duck
If anything this is a close second, though the lack of checkpoints makes it rather annoying if you die late in a stage.

This game actually looks nice compared to the other McDonalds licensed games
It's weird that they call him Donald in Japan. Mainly because when I use any translator, I get Ronarudo instead. Even just typing in "Ron" translates to "Rona". (Both in kanj, too)

Just checked, it's a Data East game, so they usually do get the license, like with Robocop and stuff.
something tells me this is not a game licensed by either Nintendo or McDonald's. but I don't know.
