And that's how you can replace it with your own. Though technically it's an .rle file. The original is just sitting there in the system directory...
A .bmp file is stored at the end of WIN.COM. This is where it was extracted from.

I do believe there were graphics for CGA, EGA, and Hercules graphics modes too? Unless those are unmodified graphics that are just displayed with whatever the graphics display interprets

Yeah, for the Chinese market. It fixed some issues related to Chinese input but was otherwise identical to Windows 3.1.
