ripping Sonic 3 sprites be like
Sometimes I look at games with uploads like this and wonder if anyone's ever thought of just uploading it with the icon used for the char select for making a new save file. Like I have a feeling it could work. Just a thought.

@MadeKillaSam I think the Mania sprites are also Sonic 2 sprites with edits too, except with an insane number of frames. The work they put into Mania is pretty insane.

It took me just now to realize that these sprites are essentially just major edits of the Sonic 2 sprites, like you can really see it on the top of him how he has basically the same head shape as Sonic 2 Sonic

is it just me, or does the first frame of the normal ending sprite look exactly like the ending sprite from Sonic 1?
1. the calling could have been a really good idea, not only for world building, but for gameplay as well (if were going off of "tails whistle restored" for AIR

Oh Here Are The Special Stages Sprites
Uhh... I'm watching a Sonic 3 video and the "Moving on horizontal cylinder" sprites are not the same. I even played the game to make sure but it's still different... Please help, I'm confused

@SegaHatty: I assume it's an early version of the idle sprite that they forgot to replace.
Why is Sonic using a different sprite in the first frame of the idle rotating animation than the normal idle sprite? It really bugs me.
Probably because of how inconsistent they can be. Sonic's sprites were touched up many times, starting out as S2 sprites before becoming unrecognizable. This resulted in more niche animations using early revisions of the final sprites and never receiving the latter edits.

Yeah shadowman44 in my opinion, this sonic sprite is cooler then his other ones and gives him more attitude which is what he is known for. Also, his foot tapping animation is also used in his continue animation as sonic alone.
None of y'all know that Sonic's Waiting animation when he does that little hand thing before he points at something is just him snapping his fingers.
