@Awesomeman That's on the Badniks page, as it's a Badnik called Spiker. Not to be confused with the other Spiker from Hill Top Zone in StH2 16-bit.

Does anyone know where to find the sprites for the wall of fire in the cutscene where Angel Island gets lit on fire?

And who's the city's lord and savior? The Sonic 3 Sonic, of course! (Unless you're playing Sonic Mania or Sonic 3 Complete with S1/S2 sprites.)

But it's not a city. It's an ancient automated location.

I was always on the "Hydro" side, because of water. And it's a water city. So.

I thought "Hydrawcity" since, aside from that just looking like how that would be pronounced (English rules are stupid), it didn't look at all like a city, ruined or otherwise, and "Hydrawcity" seems to give some sort of water-based-gadget implication, and the place was full of those.

I've always called it Hydro City, even when I was younger (as a kid). Maybe because the level has water and majority of Sonic levels had two words. Hydro = water. City = city. It's only when going online that heard the other pronunciation and thought the spelling was Hydrocity or HydroCity because everyone else was using it.

Then again its Sonic Team's fault for putting the two words together on the title cards/level select, Ice Cap is the same but people don't argue with that as much.

I feel like the High-draw-city pronunciation has a more smooth feel to the name and better fits the calm and slower paced act 1 and the Hydro City pronunciation feels sharper and better fits the speedy act 2. Though High-draw-city just sounds kinda stupid in my opinion so I'm pretty sure Sonic Team wanted it to be pronounced Hydro City.

@dafourfan Heh, I knew these two communities would collide at some point.

Huh. Guess it can go either way, as it's been officially stated either way now. No reason for it to be smooshed in the first place if it were initially intended to be two words....

@Doc von Schmeltwick: According to the Sonic Mania official soundtrack, it is.

Oh, so it's officially "Hydro City". The words "Hydro" and "City" are just smushed together on the title cards for some reason. Like, "HydroCity".

Only place I ever heard anyone pronounce it as "Hydro City" was when they parsed it wrong in the comics. It's spelled "Hydrocity," so it should probably be pronounced as such.

It's officially pronounced "Hydro City" as in an underground city with water.
Pretty sure Tee Lopes confirmed that's how it's pronounced by Sega.

I like to think Hydrocity is a mashup of the word "Hydrogen" and "Velocity".

@LooneyTunerIan Hydrocity, which to this day I insist is pronounced "High-DRAW-city" and not "Hydro City."

The only Backgrounds we're missing are the ones from that Underwater Level. Was it the Underwater Palace or what was it called?

Where can I find the sprites for the flames when Angel Island Act 1 gets torched? You know, these: https://youtu.be/26N_PPtX0PY?t=2m14s I looked in the sprite sheets for Act 1 and 2 and couldn't find them
