@garc302 Tails' flying sprites are only used as a respawn animation, meaning he can't fly under player control, and he can't get tired. This was changed in the 2013 release where he could fly like in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, so he was given carry and tired sprites there.

That's because it didn't exist in Sonic 2 - you didn't fly as him, he only flew when coming back to Sonic.

Because they blend so well with his fur color from far away AND are covered by his tails. As such, they could use the same arms as on the Sonic one without making any more changes, I imagine, and few people would notice.

Doesn't Tails have the little miniature tails Continue sprite that appears on the Results screen after you beat a zone? Like the one Sonic has?

You know how some of the other sheets on here have guides on how to assemble/animate the sprites? I think it would be helpful if there was one on how to add Tails' tails back onto his body (because I can't figure out for the life of me where exactly they're supposed to attach).
