It still does, but it's a massive pain to break down due to the speed of the moving pieces. I'm working on updating the sheets anyway so I'll add the instructions there.

I swear the water had a parallax effect to it was well... Is it my brain messing with me or no?

@Paraemon make it neon magenta and lime, comic sans and cover 98.9% of the sheet

It still baffles me that those instructions can be overlooked like with the Minecraft thing. I wonder if I should make the text neon...

@TheBoyBlade The sheet gives directions near the palette bars in the upper left.

I think this background is very middle. It's not great, but it definitely isn't bad.

never realised just how awful this background looks. its looks like it was scaled up at some point and nobody botherd to fix it

Yeah, pretty much that. Having the background(s) as contiguous pieces removes the dynamic nature of them we see in the games, hence the break-up into parallax strips. The reason that four of them stop halfway across is because that's where their loop-points are.

@Rimbabwe The red lines separate the parallax layers.

How are you supposed to use it with red lines over the sheet?

Yes, by the way, I'm well aware of the Minecraft thing.

@BlueBlur64 | The animation for the water is a palette cycle. The Observer made it purple for recoloring.

For some reason or another, the loop point for the sky sections starts before where the 16th block should be - so instead of looping after 4096 pixels, it loops after 3840.

Edit: Same applies to the lake.
