@SeanMorris: No. The sheet is titled as such because the sprites are meant be in the style of Sonic 1, 2 or 3.

haha! Love those wooden Springs and Monitors, I can now imagine Sonic with a beard stranded on Angel Island going loony, making the Springs & Monitors, then "Clearing a Act" to keep his last shreds of sanity. These sprites are great!
