Something about these pre-rendered sprites always catches my attention and I don't know what it is. Is it the darker tone that this game has in comparison to the other classic dkc games? Is it how amazing these sprites look even after more than 30 years? Is it how hard it must have been to not only make these gorgeous 3D models but also turn them into 2D sprites? Maybe it's because of a weirdly nostalgic feeling about these sprites even though I never really grew up with this type of pixel art game? Who knows. But what I do know is that I think this is the prettiest game of the super Nintendo entertainment system in my opinion. |
