Interestingly Enough, Family Basic features Near 1:1 Conversions of the Mario Bros Arcade Sprites, Unlike the OG Famicom Release, Faithful Sprites would only be used Later with Kaettekita Mario Bros, Which makes me wonder if they reused them from this, or did a direct conversion Mario himself seems to be an edit that mixes DK Mario & Arcade 83', possibly comes from an early version of Mario Bros, an early version of Super Mario Bros or Might be Unrelated |

As much as I love these sprites, I agree they are a bit overused, the later Mario & Luigi games have just as much potential to be used |

A note, the wall recoil sprite is missing from the sheet, I am not sure why that is. Plus, the walking sprites have their angled versions, but the run doesn't. |

For those of you who are curious, the dark grey starting light is used in Ghost Valley as the background of that course is black. I'm guessing it's also used in Rainbow Road since that course has a black background too. |
