| Jul 6, 2017 3:58 PM | volo | Game: Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius | I see. However no character in particular, I meant the original units of the game or those from Seiken Densetsu 3. |
| Jul 6, 2017 1:53 PM | Tailikku | Game: Street Fighter II Movie (JPN) | Well most of the "sprites" are actually just interactive videos ala Dragon's Lair. And then there's Ryu who is just a rip from Street Fighter II proper |
| Jul 6, 2017 12:43 PM | Plok | Game: I.M. Meen | OH LOOK WHAT CLEVER CHILDREN! |
| Jul 6, 2017 12:06 PM | Kendotlibero | Game: THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls | The Ride will Never End I should sometimes continue kancolle, so you'll have some competition forma stupidly big games |
| Jul 6, 2017 12:06 PM | riccochet | Game: Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius | unfortunately I didnt, another guy did, but he shared the decrypted files with me. I'm working on Basch, Gabranth, Larsa, Vayne and Drace now. Anyone you looking for? |
| Jul 6, 2017 11:23 AM | Ultimate3DSMan | Asset: Character Select | Orange Mario's name is: Sponge |
| Jul 6, 2017 7:38 AM | volo | Game: Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius | Great work! How did you extract the files from the Japanese version? Can you also upload other units? |
| Jul 6, 2017 6:23 AM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Asset: Zonic the Zone Cop | @kewlzonic What? The fact that your screen name is similar to this character from over 20 years ago? |
| Jul 6, 2017 5:22 AM | kewlzonic | Asset: Zonic the Zone Cop | WUT?! |
| Jul 6, 2017 3:54 AM | SuperS192 | Asset: Objects & Characters | I just noticed that Sonic's ball sprites is from Sonic 1/2 and I think sonic has knuckles' spindash sprites |
| Jul 6, 2017 3:06 AM | Cheesy Mac n Cheese | Game: Virtual Boy Wario Land | This game actually got good reviews, though. And it's the only game in the Wario Land series that can't be played on a currently supported system. They should at least put all the Nintendo property games on VC. Then maybe a few games from other companies. |
| Jul 6, 2017 3:00 AM | Void-the-Bat | Asset: Desert Dazzle Layout Map | @dunkelschwamm: Yeah, it's very much like it. @Dolphman: You already know this, but it's Mirage Saloon Zone in Mania. :P @LooneyTunerIan: Yeah, usually these come in actual 16x16 tiles, which are stacked on top of each other in one image file. @tarkan809: Hm, IDK... I honestly don't know how DarkVampireDee even managed to rip the layout as it is, it seems like it'd be very difficult to do such a thing, especially as the tiles are laid out in a specific, frustrating to organize, way. |
| Jul 6, 2017 2:58 AM | Mister Ton | Game: Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius | Not really. I was just wondering because we only have the first 200 enemies up and there are tons more |
| Jul 6, 2017 2:55 AM | Void-the-Bat | Game: Sonic the Hedgehog 2 | @SketchAnimations and @auroraknux: I can't really rip anything other than the general sprites, mainly because Retrun doesn't have an extraction format for Sonic 2. There are some files that share the same locations and names so it can extract those. It'd be very difficult to rip any zone tiles, maybe not the sprites, but the fact that each tile is stacked on top of each other, that'll be a problem. :( I've gotta start looking up a new RSDK extractor. I've had dumb luck with opening .iso and similar file types with a zip extractor, but I've of course tried it with the data file and it won't budge. The one I'm using, which only supports Sonic 1 and Sonic CD, can decompile and recompile the RSDK file, assuming it's using one of two file formats. Also, if Mania uses the Retro Engine when it's released, I'm gonna get going on ripping sprites ASAP! |
| Jul 6, 2017 2:49 AM | Void-the-Bat | Game: Sonic the Hedgehog (Mobile) | If Mania uses the Retro Engine when it's released, I'm gonna get going on ripping sprites ASAP! EDIT: I was waaaaay too late. *shrug* |
| Jul 6, 2017 2:01 AM | riccochet | Game: Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius | Should be a relatively same procedure, I'll ask my guy that helped me out. Anything specific? |
| Jul 6, 2017 1:34 AM | Mister Ton | Game: Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius | Oh wow. Nice job, Riccochet. I had no idea they added Cloud to the Japanese version. Any chance the enemies and over world stuff is as easy to rip? |
| Jul 6, 2017 12:48 AM | Deep Weeb | Game: Virtual Boy Wario Land | Anyways, there are only 24 Virtual Boy games. 8 Japan exclusive and 3 US exclusive. And only 4 of them were actually developed by Nintendo. (Virtual Boy Wario Land, Teleroboxer, Mario's Tennis and Mario Clash). |

| Jul 6, 2017 12:43 AM | Fancity | Asset: Sonic (Modern) | Can make in genesis style? |
| Jul 6, 2017 12:42 AM | Deep Weeb | Game: Virtual Chess 64 | It's a TITUS game, the same creators of such classics as "Superman 64" and "Hercules" for N64 and GB. |
| Jul 6, 2017 12:39 AM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Game: Virtual Boy Wario Land | Nintendo of America is ashamed of it. It was relatively popular in Japan, much like the SEGA Saturn. |
| Jul 6, 2017 12:33 AM | Deep Weeb | Game: Virtual Boy Wario Land | I think it's because Nintendo is very ashamed of the Virtual Boy. They even removed it from the US version of SSB Melee. |
| Jul 6, 2017 12:30 AM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Asset: Bosses | One thing that still bugs me....the blue, upright Caterkillers in Sonic Colors, Generations console, and Lost World are given the "Sandworm" name. S3&K's Sandworm had the same Japanese name as Caterkiller, so they are intended to be the same thing (hence why they used the same sprites with the closest palette the game had). The things in those 3D games don't act anything close to S3&K Sandworm, and Lost World also contains Caterkillers. But also in Lost World (or at least the 3DS version), the "Sandworms" are huge. Ever since colors, I've always identified them more with Dangerous Ball Tower/Bead Worm, seen here, and wonder why the heck SEGA doesn't too, since they're extremely similar at worst and deliberately the same at best. |

| Jul 5, 2017 11:53 PM | shadowman44 | Game: Defenders of Dynatron City | I think Stanburdman reviewed this once. |
| Jul 5, 2017 10:37 PM | //X-Gluon// | Asset: First Contact | It would have been nice if they made an "overjoyed" expression for the receiving side. |
| Jul 5, 2017 10:36 PM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Asset: Hooktail | They technically are character textures, just like the layered textures used for the sprites in this game....they're probably here instead of Textures Resource for simplicity's sake. |
| Jul 5, 2017 10:34 PM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Game: Virtual Boy Wario Land | I really don't understand why they haven't, I mean if it's becasue of the black and red, they should do the thing that is used to optionally emulate the LCD screen on the Game Boy games... |
| Jul 5, 2017 8:55 PM | Cheesy Mac n Cheese | Asset: Hooktail | Doesn't Hooktail use a 3D model? |
| Jul 5, 2017 7:57 PM | Plok | Game: Virtual Chess 64 | what is this monstrosity |
| Jul 5, 2017 7:06 PM | Cheesy Mac n Cheese | Game: Virtual Boy Wario Land | They should just add Virtual Boy to Virtual Console already... |
| Jul 5, 2017 5:32 PM | Deep Weeb | Game: Virtual Boy Wario Land | Since Nintendo hasn't made any Wario Land game in years, why not making a remake/port of this one for the 3DS? (Even if more and more games have drop the 3D effect in favor of the 2DS) |
