I think it's because Nintendo is very ashamed of the Virtual Boy.
They even removed it from the US version of SSB Melee.

I really don't understand why they haven't, I mean if it's becasue of the black and red, they should do the thing that is used to optionally emulate the LCD screen on the Game Boy games...

Since Nintendo hasn't made any Wario Land game in years, why not making a remake/port of this one for the 3DS? (Even if more and more games have drop the 3D effect in favor of the 2DS)
